Disney’s honeymoon theme park, Disney California Adventure, will soon sell a “Honeymoon Trail” to its hotel and winery for $1.2 million.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney will lease a 20,000-square-foot building in Downtown Disney to the theme park’s hotel and Winery, which will use the space for a “winter garden” with vineyards, flower beds and an organic garden.
Disney already has a “honeybee garden” at Disneyland Resort, but it does not have the capacity to grow and harvest a hive, the Hollywood Reporter reported.
A Walt Disney World spokesperson told the publication the purchase of the winery is contingent on winning a contract to host the theme parks spring and summer seasons.
The Winery is not currently part of the Walt Disney Company, but has partnered with the Walt Hollywood Studios, according to the outlet.
“Our guests are excited about the new season of Disney California Adventures and look forward to a wonderful season of Disneyland Resort,” Walt Disney Parks and Resorts president Dan Goodman told the outlet in a statement.
“We look forward with excitement to welcoming guests to Disneyland and exploring new experiences for them at Walt Disney California, where we hope guests will discover their creative side with the world’s largest collection of theme park characters.”
Disney California Adventure will operate under the theme “Walt Disney’s California Adventure,” which is an annual celebration of the theme and its adventures, including the Haunted Mansion, Tomorrowland, Hollywood Studios and Disneyland.
